On a recent visit home for the holidays, we decided to kick off the festivities with a brunch at Woodberry Kitchen, one of my Baltimore favorites. Woodberry Kitchen reminds me of my New York home, as it could easily be transplanted to anywhere in Brooklyn and would fit right in. The major difference is that the farm to table concept comes from growers of the Chesapeake instead of the Hudson. I am always happy to see the local food movement flourish in the burbs of my hometown in MD.

We were overwhelmed in a good way by the menu, which is different every time I visit Woodberry. My eyes were torn between fresh items from the bake shop, shared delights from the small plates and an impressive number of choices from the brunch entrees. We decided to go big.

AyannaW (Baltimore)·Dined 5 days agoThis was our third time dining out at Woodberry Kitchen, my husband and I both really love their handcrafted drinks and the smoky flavors that complement the clams and oysters. This time I opted for the scallops as an entrée and it was nothing short of amazing with the potatoes au gratin as a side. The dishes were Tantalizing and incredibly pleasing to the taste buds. Not to mention the C.M.P. dessert, usually I try and get one of the seasonal options as a dessert but this time I went with the old faithful and it was as delightful as I remembered.Tags: Healthy, Authentic, Seasonal, Romantic, Wood OvenWas this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood5ambience5service5value5

vipTheZman (Washington DC)·Dined on April 30, 2017We rarely get to Baltimore, so the opportunity for the 8 of us to go to Woodberry Kitchen could not be passed up. The restaurant has a rustic décor and environment and the wait-staff is casually attired. That was good because we were coming in after a day of sightseeing and wearing sneakers. No problem. We were prepared to appreciate the food and wine based on reviews we read, but we still were impressed with everything we encountered. Cocktails were quite unique, down to some of the ingredients being prepared in-house. The sourdough bread was delicious, baked on premises. We sampled a number of appetizers and main courses, all of which were 1wo thumbs-up. Standing out were the dumplings, baked clams, lamb sausage, trout, steak and rabbit legs. Each preparation was adventurous from an ingredient standpoint, well-conceived, prepared, plated, and if I may add, consumed! Tasty pinot noir provided a nice pairing backdrop. We also enjoyed several desserts and after-dinner drinks. Although Zach was a our point man on the staff, several servers and other staff pitched in over the course of our almost 3 hours. Every minute was gratifying. We thoroughly enjoyed it and when the opportunity is presented to once again be there, 90 minutes from home, we will go to the WK. It is that good. Was this review useful to you?Yes·No·Reportfood4ambience4service5value5
